HOW CAN I BECOME SPIRITUALLY BORN AGAIN?

When God created the heavens and the earth, He saw that everything He had made was good. Man (human being) was the only living creature He created in His own image so that He could have fellowship with him. But the man, disobeyed the commandments and rules that God had laid down for them. Disobedience to authority is sin, so man sinned against God The thoughts and actions of man since the fall from grace have become continually evil. We have inherited the sins of the first man, Adam.

Romans 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Romans 5:19: For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. What is the effect of sin? The initial fellowship that man enjoyed with God was broken because God is holy and cannot tolerate sin. Man became spiritually dead.

Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I have always done good deeds; I go to church every week; I give money to charity; I have good morals. Does God see me as a sinful person? Yes.

Titus:3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Isaiah 64:6: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

By acknowledging this, you open up your spirit to receive mercy and grace from God. Has God given up on man? No, God wants to reconcile us to Him. He wants to re-establish His relationship with us because He still loves us.

Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

How can you be saved from the wrath of God? How then can I re-establish my relationship with God? You must believe and repent of your sins.

John 3:14-15, 18: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus died to save you and I from the bondage of sin and to free us from eternal damnation. He died and rose again so that we can have eternal life. It is only through Jesus that you can be saved.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. You have the choice to choose eternal life or death.

Rom 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

God gave up his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die and to pay the debt for our sins so that we can once again have a loving fellowship with Him. This is a free gift from God, the creator of the universe. We cannot buy salvation with money or by our good works.

 You can be saved by:
A- Accepting your sinful nature and that you have fallen short of God’s glory.
B- Believing that only Jesus Christ can save you from all your sins.
C- Confessing your sins and repenting of them.
D- Invite the Lord Jesus Christ to be Lord over your life.

If you accept all of the above, you can say the short prayer below and you can now experience a new life in Christ Jesus. Lord Jesus, I,__________________, acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself except you. I ask for forgiveness of all my sins. Wash me and cleanse me in your precious blood that flowed on Calvary cross. Create in me a new heart and put a new and right spirit within me. I invite you Lord to come and dwell in my heart and to take control of my life from this day (__/___/___) and forever. Amen.

You can now be confident that you have been saved. Enjoy your new life in Christ Jesus. I would like to encourage you to start fellowshipping with a Bible-centered, Christ-believing church near you.
